For 13 years, Montessori in the Park has worked to create a home away from home for our students and families by creating a safe environment where children develop a love of learning.
Due to COVID-19, we have faced unprecedented challenges in maintaining this safe environment.
Keeping your children safe remains our number one priority, and that’s why we have worked hard to come to a solution that allows us to get children back to learning in a way that complements how you are handling COVID-19 in your own homes. For this reason, we have two options for getting your kids back to school:
Children attend school in small groups, during alternating days/times, based on their home’s Social Bubble* so that we can ensure that a child whose family is practicing strict social distancing will not be scheduled with a child whose family isn’t practicing social distancing at all.
Parents will take a survey to be grouped with families whose home practices will complement the practice of the group they will be with until Governor Ducey deems it safe for us to return to our ‘new normal’ hours and operation, currently anticipated to happen on August 17th.
We know that the last several months have been a significant strain on families of Essential Workers, and that’s why we are hosting the MIP Ranger Club to provide extended hours of care for your children at Montessori in the Park. Hours will be based upon your enrollment selection.
Both options will require increased use of:
- temperature checks upon arrival
- sanitizing practices among students and guides
- fewer surfaces for little hands to touch to reduce the spread of germs
- smaller groups of children in any given space
We ask all of our families to commit to NOT using fever reducers to get their children to pass temperature checks and respect the efforts we are making to create wellness for everyone in our school.
We know this is a difficult and overwhelming time for everyone, and appreciate your cooperation and support as we work to get back to routines that create the healthiest and happiest home away from home possible.
Thank you for your help in stopping the spread of COVID-19 at Montessori in the Park.
